Roman Palomares
National LULAC President
Roman Palomares is the National President of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the nation’s oldest and largest Latino civil rights organization. In his first term, he led the organization during a critical period, advancing major legal actions on redistricting, birthright citizenship, and election integrity. A 40-year LULAC member, Mr. Palomares previously served as Chief of Staff to four National Presidents and chaired the Military and Veteran Affairs Committee. His leadership reflects a lifelong commitment to service, shaped by his experience as a Vietnam Era Veteran and retired Federal Executive. Raised in a low-income neighborhood in San Antonio as one of nine children, he developed resilience and discipline early on. He later earned a Master’s in Public Administration and built a distinguished 40- year federal career. Today, he is a nationally recognized housing consultant, advising communities and mentoring leaders nationwide.
