Owning Your Voice: Identity-Based Confidence for Latina/o Leaders
Career Development & Workforce Readiness
Owning your voice is not about “feeling confident” all the time. It’s about building self-trust in real moments that matter. This interactive session helps Latina/o leaders understand how identity, culture, and lived experience shape leadership confidence. Participants will explore the invisible “baggage” many carry—beliefs, assumptions, and internal narratives that can create self-doubt—and learn how to turn that weight into fuel for leadership. Through guided reflection, paired discussion, and group dialogue, attendees will practice small, behavior-based shifts that strengthen their voice and presence at work, during career transitions, and in community leadership spaces. Participants will leave with a simple, practical tool to apply immediately when they need to speak up, take action, or lead with greater clarity and courage.
