Grassroots Fundraising as a Young Adult/Youth Civic Engagement - Fundraising & Digital Strategy
Youth Leadership & Civic Engagement
This interactive workshop is designed to help participants leave feeling confident and prepared to make the fundraising ask. Too often, emerging leaders hesitate not because they lack passion, but because they lack a clear framework for how to ask effectively. Participants will begin by developing their personal “why” — identifying the story, purpose, and urgency behind their cause. They will then learn how to connect that motivation directly to a clear and compelling donation request. Working in small pods, attendees will build a starter donor list by leveraging peer networks and practicing how to ask for introductions. The session concludes with live practice: participants will deliver their donation pitch to their group and receive feedback in a supportive environment. By the end of the workshop, participants will walk away with a structured ask, a beginning donor strategy, and the confidence to take action.
